VTalk (Beta)

HamaraJahan allows you to trigger a web based call to any number for the contacts available on your address book. You can also trigger a web based call to another HamaraJahan user who is listed on your Friends list. You don’t have to be tied to a headset or download any software to trigger the call. Simply use you mobile or landline number to make the call.

We are offering free talk time with every account and you can add more talk time on your account by referring HamaraJahan to your friends and family.

How to Use VTalk?

Save your contact details including the mobile or landline number on your address book.

You can also use the easy calling feature on your Home section by clicking the Call icon right below your friend’s details.

Once the details are saved on your address book, simply click on the telephone number for your contact list to initiate the call.

You will receive a call on your number within seconds and after a short message we will trigger the call to your contact. The available minutes on your HamaraJahan account will be credited for this call and you do not pay your mobile service provider for this call.

How to Import contacts to your Address Book from another service provider?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account and go to “Contacts” from the left hand side column
> Choose “Webmail” and the service provider from where you wish to import the contacts
> Enter your username and password for the relevant service provider
> Click “Get Contacts”
> Choose the contacts from the results that gets displayed and invite them to join HamaraJahan

How to review the status of your invitation send to your friends to join HamaraJahan?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account and go to “Contacts” from the left hand side column
> Choose the “Pending Request” tab which will display the status of each invitation send from you end.

Address Book

How to add contacts in your Address Book?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account and go to “Address Book” from the left hand side column
> Type your contacts first name or related information to locate the contact from the HamaraJahan network
> If no results are found, click “New Contact”
> Enter the new contact information
> Click “Save” to add the new contact in your Address Book

How to call a contact or use the VTalk feature from your Address Book’s?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account and go to “Address Book” from the left hand side column
> From the list of contacts, click the “Phone” button for the contact to whom you wish to trigger a web based call back (VTalk)
> Within seconds you will receive a call on your mobile or the number that you have configured under your account
> Answer the call and listen a short message
> After the short message, “VTalk” feature will trigger a call to your desired contact

You will need credit minutes on your account which will be credited from your account for each call. However you do not pay any charges for the outgoing call charges to your mobile/phone service provider

You can also use VTalk from the “Home” section by clicking the “Call” button right below your friend’s details

Add friends from your address book as well as create your own group of friends!

How to add friends to your profile?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account
> Click on the “Search” bar towards the top right hand side corner of your “page”
> Enter the contact name of the person you want to add as a friend
> Choose your contact person from the results of your search query and click on it
> You contact’s “My Zone” page opens
> Click “Add as a friend” tab on the left hand side column on your contact’s “My Zone” page
> Your request to add the contact as a friend will be forwarded

How to create a group of members listed on your friend’s page?

> Add a name of the group of friends you wish to create
> Once the Group is successfully created, it will appear on the right hand side column
> Select the friends you wish to add and then assign them by choosing the Group name found on the drop down list.

How to edit the contacts for a particular group?

> Click on the icon next to the name of the “Group” on the right hand side column.

Scheduler by HamaraJahan

Your HamaraJahan “Scheduler” allows you to add important events in your busy day to day life with the option to remind you about the scheduled event (s)

How to Add n Schedule?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account and go to “Scheduler” from the left hand side column under “My Zone”
> Chose the date for the event
> Name your event
> Add details about the person / profile / company / occasion related to your event
> Add the details about the event
> Assign a reminder
> Save your event

How to view a Schedule?

> Login to your HamaraJahan account and go to “Scheduler” from the left hand side column under “My Zone”
> Click the “View Schedule” tab
> Select “By Date” to search the event and click “Go” or
> Select “By Period” to search the event and click “Go”

How to write a testimonial for a friend, colleague, family member, or another HamaraJahan user?

> Login to your HamaraJahan Account and go to “Testimonials” from the left hand side menu
> Add the friend for whom you want to write the testimonial
> Visit your friends “My Zone” and click on the “Testimonial” tab from the left hand side column
> Add your comments and assign the relevant Privacy level about who all you want to read the comments that has been added by you

How to view your “Testimonials” added by your friends, family, colleagues, co-workers or another HamaraJahan user?

> Login to your HamaraJahan Account and go to “Testimonials” from the left hand side menu
> Click on “My Testimonials” to read them

How to add a testimonial send from your friend, colleague, family member, or another HamaraJahan user?

> You will receive a notification that another HamaraJahan member has sent you a testimonial
> Once you receive the notification, decide if you wish to accept it or decline the testimonial
> Assign a “Privacy level” for the added testimonial

Upload Unlimited Videos with HamaraJahan

Create Video Library

HamaraJahan allows you to upload unlimited videos and create unlimited video albums. Set your privacy and decide what you want to show and what you want to be in your private video album

How to create Video Library?

> Login to your account and go to “My Zone”
> Click “Videos” from the left hand side columns
> Choose a “Video Library Name”
> Add the related “Caption”
> Browse to choose “Cover Image”
> Set the privacy level for the album from the following options “Public / Friends / Private / Group (s)”
> Click “Create”

How to add videos to a video library?

> Click on the Cover image where you would like to add the Video file
> Browse and choose the Video file
> Name your Video file
> Assign the Privacy Level
> Click “Upload”

How to share your Video Library?

To share your Video Library, simply assign the relevant privacy level for all the Libraries as well as the pictures / photos / images inside an album

Create Unlimited Photo Album with HamaraJahan

Create Photo Albums
HamaraJahan allows you to upload unlimited pictures and create unlimited albums. Set your privacy and decide what you want to show and what you want to be in your private album

HamaraJahan allows you to create multiple photo albums where you can store and share unlimited pictures / images / photos.

How to create photo Albums?

> Login to your account and go to “My Zone”
> Click “Album” from the left hand side columns
> Choose an “Album Name”
> Browse to choose an “Album Cover”
> Add the “Album Description”
> Set the privacy level for the album from the following options “Public / Friends / Private / Group (s)”
> Click “Create”

How to add pictures to your album?

> Click on the album where you would like to add the pictures/photos/images
> Browse and choose the picture / photo / image
> Add description for the picture / photo / image
> Assign the Privacy Level
> Click “Upload”

How to share your photo albums?

To share your Album, simply assign the relevant privacy level for all the Albums as well as the pictures / photos / images inside an album

HamaraJahan allows you to create multiple albums where you can store and share unlimited photos.

Wall Post with HamaraJahan

Wall Post

Post messages to your friends and assign different levels of privacy levels ranging from Private, Public and Friendly. You can also choose to post a single message and send it across to all your friends with a single click.

To send a wall post simply go to your friend(s) profile and click on Send Wall Post

If you wish to send a wall post to all your friends, click on a friends profile and go to Send Wall Post. Click on Send to All Friends and choose the friends to whom you wish to send the wall post, type in your message and click on Public, Private or Friendly to assign the privacy level of your post as to who gets to view the wall post that you have just posted.

Choosing Public allows the wall post to be viewed by everyone who visits your profile Wall Post section.

Private will allow only you to see the wall post.

Friendly will allow all your friends to view the message whenever they visit your profile wall post section.

Hangout with HamaraJahan

Hangout

Hangout is a spiced up segment under the HamaraJahan umbrella that talks about the latest gossips, rumors, forthcoming events, movie / music releases and just about anything amongst your virtual and real time friends. Its more of those college canteen discussions about the latest who’s who, poke a joke, and just about having loads & loads of fun and bringing those joy closer to you & your friends.

Create Hangout

> Enter the “Event Name”
> Add the description about the event
> Chose the date from the available option “Confirm Date” and “Suggest Date”. “Confirm Date” is applicable when you are sure about the event date and “Suggest Date” is applicable when you want to know the opinions of the other members / friends who will be a part of the event and thus want the to share their suggestion for the event dates.
> Select the Friend to whom you want to invite for the event of chose from your Group(s) of friends in case the event involves not all your friends

Invitation
This section lets you to either accept or deny Hangout events that have been forwarded by your friends and is very much self explanatory.

Each Event invitation will include the details of the event with the confirmed date or the option for you to suggest the event dates from your end.

Once you are through with the details you have the option to either accept or deny the invitation.

When you choose to deny for the event, you’ll be prompted with a dialog box wherein you’ll be asked to add some reason for your denial on the event. You can skip this step and simply click on the send button to deny for the Hangout Event invitation.

My Hangout
This section includes all the Hangout Events that you have created. Again the section is very much self explanatory with options to edit or delete each created Hangout Event.

The section gives you the following data:

Accepted By: Who have accepted to your Hangout Event invitation

Denied By: Who have denied for you Hangout Event invitation

Pending: How many of your Hangout Event invitation(s) are still pending

Total: The total number of members/friends who are a part of this Hangout Event invitation

Suggested: The suggested dates from the members/friends who have been invited for a Hangout Event

“Edit” allow you to change the Event Name, Description and the date for the Hangout Event.

The section includes the details for all the Hangout Events that you have either accepted or denied.
